Sud Lisboa

Pavilhão Poente

Av. Brasília, 1300-598 Lisboa, Portugal

Sud Lisboa is more than just a restaurant—it’s a scenic experience set right on the Tagus River, offering breathtaking views that set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

As we stepped into its dark, intimate interior, live performances unfolded around us, adding a lively energy to the otherwise cozy ambiance. We discovered Sud Lisboa through a recommendation from our Uber driver, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Sud Lisboa is also an event space and a rooftop bar, making it a versatile spot for any occasion. On a quick Google search, we were able to note some incredible weddings they’ve previously had at the venue.

The wine list is exceptional, with a curated selection of local Portuguese wines. The sommelier suggested the Dona Sancha Cerceal, a crisp white that paired flawlessly with our dishes, elevating the flavors and adding a touch of elegance to our meal.

To begin, we had the Camarão Imperial—jumbo tiger shrimp sautéed with garlic, lemon, sea herbs, and chili, accompanied by a creamy risotto. The presentation was a work of art—10/10—and I could hardly wait to dive in. The shrimp was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the creamy, zesty risotto balanced the dish. Paired with the Dona Sancha Cerceal, each bite felt like a symphony of flavors.

Next, we indulged in the Bacalhau a Baixa Temperatura, a slow-cooked codfish with mashed potatoes, a citrusy twist, and clam cream. The cod was buttery and tender, its natural richness cut by the citrusy and smooth cream, making it a refreshing and light main course that left just enough room for dessert.

We finished the meal with the Sud Chocolate Negro, a decadent dessert made of biscuit, crunchy textures, dark chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, and stracciatella ice cream. Every bite was a luxurious balance of richness and texture, the perfect sweet ending.

Sud Lisboa is more than just a restaurant—it’s a whole vibe. With impeccable food, a sophisticated ambiance, and captivating performances, it offers an elevated dining experience that shouldn’t be missed in Lisbon.

By the end of the night, sipping our Dona Sancha Cerceal and enjoying the last bite of that decadent dessert, we really felt like bougie bit**es!
